recap

Dear blog,

I've been posting sad and gloomy entries lately, I'm sorry about that, things have been pretty hard for me and what I wrote reflects my mood and feelings. After all, you're my blog, my diary, you are the only one who would listen to me whenever I feel down, I don't have anyone else that I can trust, just you. But to not continuously put the burden on you, I'll try to not let so many things out from now on, not the sad ones at least. So bear with me, please.

Went for my very first hospital rotation at Cork University Hospital (CUH) this morning. Obviously different from GP attachment last year, in sooo many ways. Went to the locker cum changing room, put on my white coat, my stethoscope and a small notebook inside the pocket. Came out from the locker room, feeling very cool. Feel like we're at the same level as the doctors and interns, the only thing that differentiates us is, of course, knowledge+experience. The staff, and the patients, looked at us with respect. For the first day, we got a brief introduction to how we're going to be assigned and what is expected from us. Did a history taking on a patient, presented it in front of our SHO and been bombarded with loads of question from him regarding GI system before we wrapped it up for the day. Thank God, I was assigned under surgical department instead of mixed medicine. and thank God +++, I was appointed to plastic surgery, (well not really appointed, I excitedly volunteered to get into it *big grin*) and every Tuesday my partner Ciaran and I, are going to the operation theater for plastic surgery and would get a chance to scrub in, now how COOL is that?!!! ;) Caught the jealous looks on the face of some other students, haha.

Can't believe I'm a third year student now. How time has flew. It's gonna be exciting, yet SCARY. I hope I'll be able to cope with the extreme pressure which has started to build up at this moment. n owh, Pathology exam will be on Oct 6th! We wont be able to celebrate raya since we have to study tonnes of notes for 3 major systems covered in the exam! (I'd put the burning face emoticon had it's available in blogspot)

Dayah is goin back to Malaysia on Thursday since second year's class will start at the end of September, and she's even gonna skip 2 weeks of lecture to celebrate raya at home with her family!! Urghh jelesnye!!!! This is gonna be my third time celebrating Eid here, and I'd never have the chance to celebrate it at Malaysia for the next 2, maybe 3 years later.. *sad*

On another note,
saya sangat rindu
terlalu rindu
pada si dia yang dikenang selalu
pada nostalgia yang telah berlalu..

Wahai perasaan, usahlah terlalu rapuh
biarkan masa menelan segala memori
biarkan parut selamanya terpahat meski luka masih berdarah
pergilah sepi, jauh dari lubuk hati..
