Rotation

I have a bad fever since yesterday and even today, my temp is still high and my nose is killing me. (dua hari demam, berat turun 1kg, tp utk naek 1kg kena melantak cam lembu selama sebulan, urghhh!)

Anyways, yesterday was my last hospital rotation in CUH, and for the next 4-week rotation, I'll be going to Bon Secours Hospital, yeayy, I can finally, finally get to pay half price for the meal (I've been waiting for this for 2 years, sbb food kat sana sgt mahal k, smpai 8euro kena, padahal x kenyang mane pun). Then for block 3 rotation in November, I'll be going to Mercy Hospital. It is such a relief that I don't have to go to South Infirmary! Emma was complaining to me all the way back from CUH the other day about how bad it was in SI, esp with the tutor Dr B (I've had him as a tutor for CP tutorial a few times before, so I know what she meant by that, haha ;p) and she was sooo unlucky to get the same hospital for block 3.

So today was the deadline for case submission, I was really unwell yesterday so I decided to complete start doing it from a scratch at 8 a.m this morning, and it was 8.37 a.m by the time I finished and had to rush for tutorial at 9a.m.
It was hard to decide on which case should I be choosing for the submission. Reason being, I was assigned under plastic surgery, and so far I just had like 5 patients for history taking coz most of the time I was in the operation theater observing surgeries, plus all the patients I got was admitted because of accidents or domestic injuries, otherwise they were all in good health, except for Mrs C who had a mastectomy, so I chose her case.

Presenting Complaint:
A lump on her left breast

History of presenting complaint:
Went to her GP for routine check-up and was told by the GP of the presence of a small dense in the left breast.

Me : Any change of the size and shape of the lump
Mrs C : No, I didn't even know there was something there, even when I was told that there was a lump, I still couldn't find it *laugh*
Me : Pain or tenderness
Mrs C : None
Me : Other associated symptoms
Mrs C : None
Me : Past medical history
Mrs C : None
Me : Allergies
Mrs C : None
Me : Medications
Mrs C : None, except for the pain killer given after surgery.
....
When I was about to leave,
Mrs C : Sorry my history is boring, there's nothing much that you can learn from me.
Me : Yeah exactly (well honestly that nearly slipped of my tongue, but thank god I managed to cover the disappointment, jahat x fikir camni? evil kan, huhu) Oh don't say that Mrs C, it's a good thing that you have an excellent health *smile*
